why some people just take things for granted?

I just heard stories of how some gals threw away their own lives, giving it up for married men, players, gangsters and what have you

Exciting maybe, to be thrilled and pampered all the time, to be splurge on, a secret liasion giving the person the highs
their definition of FUN puzzled me
clubbing all night, drinking all night, meeting strangers all the time, sneaking out at night, long chats at night without letting their other halves knowing

then i wonder, what keeps them rooted to reality when the fun is over?
who keeps their sanity? who keeps their relationship? who keeps their trusthworthiness?
someone who prefers to have all their fun ie have their cake and eat it or just someone.. normal.

i heard of a married gal whose husband did not like her to go out too often and they quarrelled.
Which husband would allow the wife to always go out till wee mornings all the time and with a big group of guys?
Which respectful wife would do such a thing too?
No feelings for the husband, please divorce him then.
Please give him a chance to find someone better who deserves him.
Using him for her own benefits, how despicable can she be?
Have a backbone, she is just leeching on him still.

i heard of a gal who complained about the bf being too decent and "boring" with no night life while the gal is having fun at clubs after her dates with the bf.
the bf still waited for her or offered to fetch her back.
who provides the security in the relationship?
