Why foreign brides are hot while local brides are not

-One in four singaporean men married foreign brides last yr, hittin a 10-yr high

-Far fewer spore women than men married foreigners but number likely to rise


alot of local men(most of them had diploma or degrees) are turnin to match-makin agencies to increase their chances of marriages and they preferred foreign wives because they would be more demure and accomodating

they see local women as demanding or too career minded, not willing to compromise on their careers or studies
they wan women to put family and husband first not the material gains and have simple requests...

the thing is ..
most of those foreign wives had humble or simple backgrounds and they are less exposed to the material world
they were taught from young to "put husband and family first"
like the kind of values our grandmothers or mothers were instilled with

sporean women are more worldly wise and the way we are brought up, in such a competitve environment, make us strive for better stuff, be it husband material or material wants

maybe i am generalising too much but thats the way i feel..

the local men cant handle sporean women therefore look for alternatives..
they see us as demanding when they themselves still have that traditional mindset
"wives must place husbands first, ownself later"

why cant it be a mutual thing?
husband and wife see each other as havin equal standing, givin each other the mutual respect they deserve
wife also need the husband to take care too .. it shouldnt be a one-way affair..

if the husband still wan to be served or be pampered by the wives ONLY
i only have this to say
"GO HOME TO YOUR MUMMY"

why must it always be the case of local men seeing local women as demanding
why not the other way?
local men doesnt want their wives to be achievers

and doesnt like his women to be demure and cant have a proper intelligent conversation
