was just talkin to friends.. how the younger generation has become nowadays..

its not just the income gap that is widenin ..
the "educational qualification" gap is widenin too ..
in the sense... more DROPOUTS AND more GRADUATES..

contradicting aint it .. and the attitudes of the youngsters here .. are gettin from bad to worse ..
not everyone .. but its a sigificant percentage from what i see with my own eyes..
gettin more "selfish" in the sense .. they thought only for themselves..
eg
i saw a gal, around 14, shopping with her mum
The gal was obviously complaining in a very irritated tone about her mum's bad taste in clothes etc BUT in the end the last sentence was "GIVE ME THE MONEY TO PAY"

i just shook my head..
she is usin her mum's money yet she gave her no RESPECT AT ALL
RANTIN AT HER OWN MUM IN PUBLIC

seriously if i would to do that my mum would have given me a slap across the cheek
of course i'm was never rude to my mum
the only reason my mum ever hit me was due to my results not up to her expectations ..

but anyway ..
even my dad commented ..
the school-going kids.. their mouths gettin more foul..
what's with the vulgarities and rough actions?
ppl are gettin liberal with words i agree..
but it shouldnt be in such NEGATIVE SENSE ..
i feel those who actually say vulgarities in public are "throwin their own face"
i dun care abt what "IMAGE" they are tryin to potray by doin that..
IT just sounds DAMN UGLY to me .. esp when its from gals in SCHOOL UNIFORMS
and another thing to add on .. its either i am too old fashion or else the teenagers are gettin more curious abt relationships..
i see couples on the streets are getting younger with each passing year..
and sad to say there's increasing exposure of "shotgun marriages" in the papers..
see the relation?

abt the educational qualifications..
those who are good or in good schs are gettin better
eg
those independent schs, they are emphasizin on "all round" education for their charges, addin various modules to expose them to a wider range of knowledge

while some schools are leaving their students be ..
government already removed alot of syllabus that was taught in my time .. YET
the kids are still not able to comprehend or complete their assignments
.. its not that the kids' intelligence is gettin worse..
they lack the moivation to strive..
they are just binge complacent.. if studies get too tough they will just have this mentality "so troublesome just quit sch lar"

some are not bothered to study so they dun show the results
some are studyin yet they dun show the results

these two grps of ppl are in diff leagues

for the second grp, there's sch such as NORTHLIGHT or somethin .. for those poor in studies.. to allow them to catch up .

for the first grp
if they dun help themselves, no one can force them

...

kinda worried for our society's widening gap ..

play when u should
study when u should
and reap the fruits of the labour u will

its kinda disheartenin to always read in the papers tat there are more abandoned babies or underaged sex victims or underaged mums or shotgun marriages etc..
i know teenagers wan fun
but they need to know the kind of responsities or the "reactions" of their actions...

there's still hope to salvage this
gov is tryin out "sex education n prevention" etc
and new aim from our PM
"reduce the no of dropouts from 3% to 1.5%"
