SINGAPORE: Last year, economics graduates from the Singapore Management University received average starting salaries of S$4,164 per month, making them the top earners among fresh grads.

The figure was over S$1,000 more than the S$3,107 received by economics graduates from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

Business graduates from the National University of Singapore (NUS) came in second, with a pay of S$3,971.

Among NTU graduates, those with Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering degrees were paid the most, with average monthly salaries of S$3,232.

Employment figures also remain positive.

At NTU and NUS, over eight in 10 engineering grads found jobs six months after getting their degrees. - CNA/vm/al

its hard to believe, not that I am feeling sour.
What I heard from actual graduates is FAR off that mark.
maybe they took "isolated high earners" as the average?
or maybe I am wrong.
