********
something that left me wondering..
Teen marriages up?
THEY are married, widowed, divorced - all before they are even old enough to get a provisional driver's licence.
Teen gamers at MapleStory, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), get hitched at the rate of a couple a day in a range of weddings that cost between $30 and $40.
As part of the game, they can buy wedding tickets - cozy, sweety and premium packages - which enable them to receive anywhere between 10 and 60 guests, and obtain virtual wedding rings that add to their avatar's prowess.
Amanda Lee, a 14-year-old Raffles Girls' School student in real life, has had no fewer than five 'serious boyfriends' in the game.
She has been 'married' three times.
Other teens take their couplehood more seriously - offline.
Away from the game, they become real-life couples after first getting married online.
Others who are already in an off-line relationship make things official with an in-game wedding.
Like real marriages, not all work out.
When they fail, players need only wait four days and cough up 500,000 mesos - MapleStory's game currency - to get a Maple divorce.
*******
Do people actually get into relationship this way?
Nothing is for sure in the virtual world.
How they know the person that they KNOW ONLINE is the same person in REAL LIFE?
I know some people who are exact opposites of their virtual persona online ...
you can be ANYONE or have some kick ass attitude or some very sweet or popular persona online. BUT to me, what matters is your OFFLINE personality.
A virtual persona belongs to the virtual world, whatever your offline personality, you are just not real to me, till you show your true personality.
Some things are meant to be kept online, to me that's all.
In conclusion, I just feel, relationships and marriages in games give all the wrong notion of "marriage".
The game made it TOO SIMPLE and cause the gamers to have "fantasy ideas" regarding marriage.

I can live with
alittle disappointment, and that's that. 3 times in a row to be exact.
I will not let myself be disappointed again.
Trying really hard to remember...
shucks.

Some facebook quizzes
Personality By Birthday
You are Number 4
You are very stubborn, very hard working but unlucky in important matters in life, very cool and helpful. You might repel people away from you, you may cause nuisance to others if you are a man, as you gifted are with understanding other people's problems. If you are a girl, you excel in your studies and arts. If you are a guy you spend most of your time with girlfriends and you tend to have too much fun with your mates & girls. Your friends will spend your time & money and get on with their life and you will be left empty handed. So be careful! You love to spend. Your positive side is that you are always around to help family and friends. You always fall in love with those younger than you. You often live with disappointments but you will take good care of your family. You need to be careful of people who will take advantage of your kind heart. And beware of your relationships too. You are radical, patient, persistent, and a hit old-fashioned, you live with foundation & order.
In your circle of friends, who are you?
The Parental Unit.
You are the group's stand in mother/father. You take charge when everyone else is in chaos, and often, you are the source of nuggets of wisdom. You know your responsibilities, and you know that while everyone wants to have fun, you have to make sure that no one gets way too out of control. Perhaps you are the eldest in the group? Loosen up a bit sometimes. You wouldn't want to be called a kill joy..
AND AND! i got convinced.
CHECK THIS OUT.

sad to say.. I prepared some plans and stuff for the bf.. but he couldnt make it.
well, time is precious, I will understand.
Study hard.
"To motivate oneself, you need to surround yourself with people who are as motivated if not MORE motivated than you."
this "external locus of control" works well for me.

Fast and Furious and MOF
140409
Dear suddenly called me in the afternoon and wanted to go "dating" lol. After work, took mrt down to Bugis to meet dear and we went Parco Bugis Junction to have dinner at MOF, after his friend's reccomendations.
The food varieties were interesting! Even the dessert section looks good, more afforable than Azabo at Marina Square.. I especially love their dessert heh
We then proceeded over to Filmgarde @ Ilumina to watch FAST AND FURIOUS 4!
GREAT show! lol I love the cars and the action, this sequel seems better in terms of the storyline but the cars aint that attractive as compared to the previous sequels I had watched. But anyway, got my adrenaline rushing through my body during the show.
When we came out of the show, I joked that I should find someone with such car, dear said I aint pretty enough to attract such guys. HMPF! I said even with his car, gals also wont be attacted to him hahahha :P
Dear and I then went over to Bugis village and we bought durians home~
This morning, dear fetched me to work and even bought KFC breakfast :)
I haven tried the breakfast since last August?
After dropping me off, dear went school to study...
I love our little date. :)
dear's bento set
california roll, the ingredients almost spilled out lol
my tan tan ramen, interesting, alittle spicy with the savory meat
sweet potato and yam~ with vanilla icecream and mango~
and this morning's breakfast, big platter, with their crunchy bun

Quotes I like
"Desire is the key to motivation, but it's the determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek."
"No one ever attains very eminent success by simply doing what is required of him; it is the amount and excellence of what is over and above the required that determines the greatness of ultimate distinction."
"Whatever task you undertake, do it with all your heart and soul. Always be courteous, never be discouraged. Beware of him who promises something for nothing. Do not blame anybody for your mistakes and failures. Do not look for approval except the consciousness of doing your best."
"The most successful men in the end are those whose success is the result of steady accretion. . . It is the man who carefully advances step by step, with his mind becoming wider and wider — and progressively better able to grasp any theme or situation — persevering in what he knows to be practical, and concentrating his thought upon it, who is bound to succeed in the greatest degree."
