The Jobs Credit scheme
-provides every employer with cash grants amounting to 12 per cent of the first S$2,500 of an employee's wage
Special Risk-Sharing Initiative
-help viable companies get funding and keep jobs.
-corporate income tax down to 17 per cent effective from Year of Assessment 2010.
-GST Credits for households are being doubled
-additional rebates given for rentals and service and conservancy charges in public housing.
-20 per cent income tax rebate for individual tax payers, capped at S$2,000
-40 per cent property tax rebate for owner-occupied homes.
-WORKFARE payouts to low-wage workers will go up by 50 per cent this year
-FIRST-TIME Housing Board flat buyers who qualify for the additional housing grant will get $10,000 more, from $30,000 to $40,000, the monthly household ceiling to qualify for the additional housing grant will be raised from $4,000 to $5,000
-under the Skills Programme for Upgrading and Resilience (Spur), they will receive a 90 per cent government subsidy for training courses, up from the existing 80 per cent level, with the higher subsidy, selected tertiary courses at SIM University and the three public-funded local universities will also be included under SpuR
