on another note, found this in a forum
"Does A Relationship Make You Stronger?"
I like this quote from a guy
"There are a few types of R/s.
Some are emotionally draining. Some r/s brings out the worse in us.
How do we identify whether our relationship is a good one anot? Simple.
The standard equation of one+one= happiness.
Should one day any side find that one is unable to fulfill this equation, either unable to provide happiness or receive it, then it's probably high time to re assess the r/s and where it's heading.
True r/s brings out the best in us, they will encourage us, provides us with a proper perspective and goals towards our lives.
They do not walk behind us, nor walk ahead of us. They walk beside us, so as to accompany us throughout our lives, encourage us when we are down, share our happiness and halve our burden.
Noone is a mind reader to the other, so a through understanding that communication is really never just about taking turns to talk. it is about listening. Because whenever we open mouths, only a good 75% of our intention is retained, and this percentage varies, from understanding close frds to mean bosses. and of cos your oral skills to put your intent across.
Love is never really about finding someone better for there will always be someone better that whomever we are with now. It is about finding someone compatible, whom can understand us. Someone whom we can talk to as a friend, and yet willing to share our live's lowest and greatest moments with, someone we can live with, and yet cannot live without."
however its alittle too rosy..
not all Relationships bring out the best in people, it might do the exact opposite in some cases.
