SIBU KELONG 4th to 6th Dec

AH Yew's Kelong, 2 hrs by car from JB, half hr by boat
First Kelong trip with dear and his fishing friends.. total 10 of us~

Before that took half day on the 3rd to meet dear and watch movie HUA MULAN.. some sort of a disappointment..but still it's nice
maybe not what i have expected.. and we saw a whole bunch of primary school kids watching movies on their own? making quite a bit of noise tsk tsk
now I did not even go out along with friends till i was in secondary school lol
kids nowadays mature so much faster ah

Dear and I tried KIM GARY's Hongkong cafe too
took thir lunch sets which costed around $10 per set including soup and drink which we think were not too bad a deal BUT it werent really to our fancy.. maybe not used to the food..

Had Dinner at Kovan with dear and his dad lol
His dad ordered lots of food for us

4th Dec

Woke up around 530am in the morning to pack and took a cab to pasir ris to meet his friends and wait for the transport

Arrived Woodlands checkpt around 10am? Went for Bak Kut Teh breakfast on the way to the ferry terminal before taking half hr ferry ride to the kelong.

Being the non-swimmer.. and not so frequent "sea traveller"
I was a bundle of nerves.. but after the first 10minutes.. I was accustomed to the rocking boat already..

Reached around 12? Time for lunch!What an eye opener~!

And so we fished day and night breaking in between.. slept around 12pm?
Woke around 5am to fish again..

Fishing frenzy starts early morning and evening time lol THEIR feeding times

I learned ALOT. With help with dear and the other helpful guys.
I can handle my own rod now lol
Hopefully can improve on my skills and do surfcast and also others cause dear said he's bringing me to catch sailfish next yr!

There's 4 meals a day and ample coffee.. basically we ALL survived on mostly coffee and beer LOL.

Maybe next time we can bring some games to the kelong.. I need to keep myself occupied all the time *laughs*

5th Dec

and we fished whole day.. dear played mahjong in the afternoon while I sat down with the other guys or else just looked at other ppl fishing when I took breaks in between

6th Dec

Packed around 11am.. sorted and packed the fishes into packets for everyone and waited for the ferry home.

reached spore around 5pm and went back dear's place and dear cleaned the fishes for me while I packed our belongings and washed his fishing gear

Dear drove us back to my place and we plonked onto bed and slept before the clock hit 10

Overall, its a good experience, but for the "not so fishing enthusiastic" people, please bring along some games to kill time cause not much other entertainment.
I saw a group of young people with guitar and doing "high seas singalong" lol
The only two peeves, the water ration.. we had to bathe with cold water..even amid the COLD COLD sea breeze brr.. I practically wrapped myself in dear's jacket all the time even when the sun was strong
AND the sleeping quarters.. please bring own pillow if you need to. hahaha you will know why when you see it.
