Reunion Dinner

Groomed and bathed snoopi in the morning, packed my room and off we go to paternal grandpa's place around 4pm.
Had a blast of a time there lol.
so much fun and laughter, the aunties kept teasing grandpa.
We had lo hei too~ and we made such a mess out of it lol
Left around 9+

And we counted down to CHinese New Year! Huat ah!!






CNY DAY 1

Woke up at 7 in the morning, whole family dressed up and we're out of the house by 10to go paternal grandpa's place first.
Met, talked, ate there before heading off to maternal grandpa's place around 1pm.
After that I went over to find dear around 4pm as he's at his relatives' place.
Had Spitza for dinner~
Slept around midnight again.

CNY DAY 2

Brought my parents to have MAc breakfast lol, the very rare places near my place that's still open.
Bought the deluxe set for them, hotcakes AND big breakfast combined.
Then I went off to find dear while parents went Bugis to pray.

Dear, his sis and I went to watch Big SOldier, Small Soldier. Dear and I then walked around PS before buying Yusheng back to my place.
We had a feast again lol. Abalone WITH yusheng, first time we eat it freshly sliced.
As usual, we could not finish the food. lol
Cousins were here too, but they left after dinner and the rest of us played mahjong.

CNY DAY 3

Went to watch VALENTINE's DAY with dear at ILUMA.. gosh, the various stories of the different characters are so real yet sweet nonetheless, there's even the "save sex when ready" message inside too heh
Dear treated me to movie twice already over CNY so I insisted I pay for lunch :P
Manhatan Fish Market~ getting better than the last time we tried it years ago.
We tried this new Taiwan snack stall at Bugis too and dear said it's comparable to the ones we tried in Taiwan woh

Caffeine, alcohol dangerous mix

GAINESVILLE (Florida) - CAFFEINE and alcohol can be a deadly mix according to a study by the University of Florida.

The rising popularity of mixed drinks like the 'Jager Bomb' (Jagermeister and Red Bull) or the self-explanatory 'Vodka and Red Bull' has worrying implications for road safety, research shows.

A field study of more than 800 young drinkers in the US has found those who consumed caffeine-alcohol mixed drinks were often in a drunker state when they left the bar. Compared to those who drank only alcohol-based drinks, those who reported having caffeine-alcohol mixed drinks were also much more likely to say they intended to drive home.

The problem stems from consuming a stimulant alongside an intoxicant, which clinical studies have shown can reduce the perception of being drunk but not the impairment. The University of Florida study put researchers on the streets outside bars and clubs, from 10pm to 3am, to quiz young revellers on what they had been drinking and assess their sobriety.

'Patrons who had consumed alcohol mixed with energy drinks were at a three-fold increased risk of leaving a bar highly intoxicated,' the study found. 'As well as a four-fold increased risk of intending to drive on leaving the bar district, compared to other drinking patrons who did not consume alcoholic beverages mixed with energy drinks.'

Consuming these drinks with alcohol was now emerging as a cause of 'elevated involvement in night-time risk-taking behaviour', according to the study which is published in the journal of Addictive Behaviors. -- AAP

I was telling dear that that we should not succumb to exhorbitant prices on V day.. the intial idea was to have a picnic after CNY visiting but that will take time to prepare so in the end we will be celebrating on friday instead.

BUT again, I dont see the point of paying too much for dinner -_-
Not as if it's our anniversary or birthdays (he said so before)

Week before CNY

dear and I spent the weekends doing assignment.

On Sat, I had breakfast with an ex colleague at CAFE Cartel at IMM and to collect stuff from her heh
Went to find dear after that and rest of sat was spent on assignments

Bought birdnest for dear's family and my mum made pineapple tarts and butter cookies for them BUT in the end, dear and his family gave us more things -_-
now I need to find new things to return the favour..

dear bought birdnest and almond cookies for us, his mum gave us dried fruits, chips and more cookies lol

we packed KFC for dinner on sun, too tired to go out and eat and i finally tried the new egg tart.. I find abit too sweet for me though

BUT BUT

we managed to clear one assignment in two days! 2000 word freakin essay..
now left editing..
before i start the next 2000 word essay.. zzz

oh, i bought fortune cookies too lol
and we celebrated anniversary in school today.. cause i have class -_-

trying to stay positive, stay strong willed and stay clear of distractions..

60th birthday celebration

Of one of my granduncle..at FairMont Spore, beside Raffles Shopping Centre on Friday night.
Before that had class on wednesday and Thursday so was lethargic already..
Luckily dear fetched me home after thursday and fed me lol

So sis and I reached early and went shopping around Raffles Shopping Centre before dad came to join us and we went to SZE CHUAN COURT restaurant.
There were around 3 tables.. and one cousin said his wedding dinner's at the end of this yr at the flyer hee so exciting! lol cause it will be the FIRST cousin to get married on mum's side.

A friend commented that guys like their gfs to SAI NAI in front of his guy friends so that they envy him.

although I rather they envy the guy because the gf is CAPABLE instead.

another case, my friend said she will stop studying..
reason being, she doesnt want to earn more than the bf in the future
And she is earning more than the bf now.
Why?
so that she will have more time for family next time, cause more pay means more work.

She rather the man work HARDER with her lesser pay.

How you gauge whether the man is working HARD ENOUGH?

In my mind, I thought , if next time my bf can earn X amt, I will earn about the same too. That is partially to feed my ego.
Reliance on people..I haven thought about that yet.
Or maybe the time to be reliant on others has not arrive for me.
