Staff Lunch, MOOKATA AND NATAS FAIR
25th Feb Fri
Went to meet the gals after work at Marina Square to catch "JUST GO WITH IT"
Damn funny show. 4/5 stars for comedy!
Had dinner and entertainment at ALPS again LOL
Heard the gals sing~ I am the always passive listener :P
Dear came over after his meetup with own friends and we chatted with the gals before making our way back at 1am
sometimes, the person U love is just beside you.
at ALPS
our future talent :))
26th Feb Sat
Woke up around 10am
Had breakfast with dear at Kallang Airport before dear fetched me to HYATT hotel, STRAITS KITCHEN for my staff lunch!
Met Dear after staff lunch at SUNTEC and we went shopping for his shirts.
OH!! and we tried something new for dinner!
Staff Lunch HYATT, STRAITS KITCHEN
THAI BBQ STEAMBOAT for DINNER!
MOOKATA !
thick chili sauce, not those watery ones with generous filling of seaseme seeds
very interesting design, resembles the korean bbq, with the dome shape device to bbq the meat BUT this has a small "moat" surrounding the dome. That serves as the steamboat and "collection device" to collect the juices from the meat and that makes the soup extra fragrant and flavourful. Surprising, it aint very oily, as the meat aint those fatty ones in the first place.
Quality lean meat, very nicely marinated and the three dipping sauces are catered to varying degree of spiceness tolerance lol
Went AWFULLY CHOCOLATE for icecream!
My Current fav chocolate icecream~ So thick and creamy, we ate half a pint and were full of chocolatey richness and couldnt eat anymore
27th Feb Sun
Dear went to pick my mum from the WEST and fetched us to EXPO for NATAS FAIR~
Thanks dear~!
Mum and I walked around NATAS fair while dear and his mum continued on to IKEA for shopping.
We Booked our trip already! Not going to say where yet :P
THree of us going, mum, youngest sis and myself lol
I am gonna be real broke but real happy and also sad to leave poor dear in spore.
AND I'm going BANGKOK IN NOVEMBER! 5 days! With 5 more ppl including dear~ First time going holidays with friends~
After NATAS FAIR, I brought mum to Changi Airport to eat Popeye chicken :D
Mum's first time eating Popeye.
After that we took MRT all the way home..
SO tiring ah ..

HDB should provide forecast of BTO project launches
In January, National Development Minister Mah Bow Tan announced that the Government was considering tougher measures to deter first-time HDB flat buyers from repeatedly not selecting a flat when invited to do so. Under the current rules, applicants who reject a chance to select a flat twice will have their first-timer priorities removed for a period of one year - meaning they will be given one ballot chance instead of two.
Instead of imposing harsher penalties on couples looking for a dream home, perhaps the Housing and Development Board (HDB) can do more to help these couples make better decisions on their flat application and at the same time tackle the current waiting time for a Built-to-Order (BTO) flat that has flat-buyers complaining.
While HDB applicants might turn down the invitation to select a flat due to a number of reasons, such as not being offered a choice flat, perhaps providing an earlier forecast of coming BTO projects can help young couples make more informed choices and reduce the rate of rejection.
Currently, the HDB gives a hint of the location of any BTO projects coming up in the next month only when it launches the BTO projects for the current month. This means interested buyers get only a month's notice about the coming BTO projects in the pipeline.
Some people may rush to apply for a project they are not really interested in. Their mentality is: "Better seize the chance first and decide later".Since it takes about two months for BTO application results to be released, some of these applicants may in the meantime also apply for other BTO projects, creating an unnecessary administrative burden on the HDB. Then there may be couples who choose to hang on for a BTO in their ideal area to be launched. But by the time they decide that the wait is too long and that they should compromise by considering another location, precious time may have been lost.
Providing a forecast of where BTO projects will be launched every quarter, or even every six months, would mean that couples can plan rationally which project they would want to apply for. And if their ideal location is up for sale soon, it could help them to decide early on a new game plan.
Such better planning would ultimately help reduce the paperwork for the HDB.
One reason that the HDB has given for taking so long to release the application results is that it checks on the eligibility of each applicant.
Last year, BTO launches were oversubscribed by anywhere from two times to more than six times and it is safe to say a number of those signing up were repeat applicants.
For instance, in the Boon Lay Grove BTO project launched last May which saw 4,026 applications for 450 flats, about 1,100 applicants had outstanding BTO applications for which selection exercises had yet to begin.
Those who were eventually given the option to book a flat in another project would have had to give up their shot at one or the other - but not before using up administrative time and resources.
If such repeat applicants can be minimised, this can only expedite the BTO selection process and cut down the wait for other flat-buyers.
The anxiety of choosing a home can be one of the most stressful periods during a couple's life.
Having applied for three BTO projects and failing to get a queue number each time, I can relate to the emotional highs and lows that come with each month checking the current and coming BTO launches, to decide if one should apply.
For sure, whatever tweaks are made to improve the selection process, it would be unrealistic to expect every BTO applicant to land up with their ideal flat.
As Mr Mah said during the Committee of Supply debate last year: "Buyers have to decide on the trade-offs they want to make - whether they should keep on trying for their 'choice' flat and delay setting up their home, or to settle first for one within their budget and move to a better flat later when they have built up their finances."
But perhaps more can be done to help buyers decide on these trade-offs - such as the information that can let them plan further ahead.

Steamboat and meetup Primary school friends
Sat 19th Feb
Met friends at Paya Lebar to do marketing then headed over to Sharon's place around 4 to prepare steamboat!
Played card games till 2 ah -_- damn sleepy already
but had a good laugh till we were all stoning
Sun 20th Feb
Woke at 9am -_-
Dear fetched me to Bugis to meet my primary school friends before he went to have family lunch
I met them at 1pm and we talked till 5+
Good to catch up considering I am always the "super outdated" one
We had nandos then headed over to starbucks for coffee
After we separated, I went back home to have dinner with my family
had my coffee before meeting them as I was early
Conclusion:

slept almost 1am on friday as I was doing some scrapbooking
sat also slept late around 2+am.
super lethargic now -_-

I wish
I can have my own craft table .. or even better, own work/study room
I have been sharing with both sis since young.. which is a good and a bad thing.
I will not get lonely but I do not have enough space/say on how to pack or arrange the room. I can only pack my area.. but again this has taught us to be more accomodating to one another.
saw some craft tables/storage online..
I really need proper storage for my craft materials..
the simplest lol clear boxes. I need clear boxes NOW. My craft box which is made of paper is tearin at the seams already -_- even after throwing half the things away previously..
maybe I should get clear tupperwares from daiso..
