HouseWarming

Went YEW TEW just now for my aunt's housewarming. This will be her second condo.
Much Bigger for her family of 3 girls. Their family photo took centrestage in their living room, with all 3 in RGS uniform :)

Had bbq and talked awhile with the relatives before making our way back.
An aunt said I should buy a condo and rent out my hdb -_-
Easier said than done BUT if I have the capital, I will stay in my HDB and rent out the condo.
Private property's prices are increasing faster than public housing, better for investment. hahaha.
IF I have the chance.
HDB prices aint cheap either.. nowadays those at "prime locations" are fetching 400-500+
You can get a suburban condo at 500-600+
What will you choose?
Up to individuals to weigh in the pros and cons already.

windows are concave, interesting design

full length mirror at the dining area, the first to see when you step in.
Mirrors enlarge the whole area.

wavy string curtains

After seeing her family portrait, makes me all the more determined to take OUR OWN family portrait with ALL 3 of us in graduation gowns.

CNY clothes

I mentioned previously I wont spend too extravagantly for CNY clothes.. in the end.. I bought a few -_-

CNY clothes bought recently, with dear's mum, colleagues and online.
2 sweaters, 1 dress and a cheongsam top.
My dress is figure hugging >< I hope I wont put on too much weight. LOL Luckily I gotten my jeans and shoes last Dec already.

I LOVE my BLACK LACE cheongsam.

Yearly tradition

of mum to bake pineapple tarts.
There's like 30+ containers to fill -_-

Expectations

You can always place expectations on yourself. IF you cant reach it, you have yourself to blame.

If you place expectations on others, if they cant reach it, who will you blame?
Them or yourself?

I decided to NOT have too much expectations on others.
Have the will, have the way. I try to contain my "over-eagerness"
I place alot of expectations on myself, when I complain or grumble, its all about me.
Along the way, I believe, what is yours will be yours.
As long I do my part, whatever else I gain in return are privileges.
There is no such thing as "given rights"

I told the bf recently, one reason I study is so that I can help support our family next time not because I am afraid of him not supporting me. WE can share the burden.

Two is better than one. No?

I look forward to a better future, one where BOTH can thrive, not just based on one.

Don't cast protest vote: MM

THE current contentious issue on the affordability of public housing was given another airing by Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew who cautioned Singaporeans not to cast a protest vote against the ruling party over this.

As Singaporeans lament rising flat prices, he said they ought to understand that the Government sells them at a subsidised price, below market rate, so that they can own an asset that will appreciate in value over the years.

It adds to their wealth and this is an asset-enhancing policy Mr Lee believes citizens should not find fault with.

If they do, they must be 'daft', he said, at a dialogue during a housing conference as part of a series of events to mark the Housing and Development Board's 50th anniversary.

And if National Development Minister Mah Bow Tan is unable to defend this policy, 'he deserves to lose' at the next general election, he quipped, to laughter from the participants, including a chuckling Mr Mah.

But if Mr Mah loses to the opposition, he warned that Singaporeans better sell their flats fast as they would no longer be of any value.

Freaking crazy

Price war fuels COEs

CERTIFICATES of entitlement for cars and commercial vehicles ended sharply higher to end above $20,000 across the board at the latest tender on Wednesday.

COE for cars up to 1,600cc closed at $20,501, about $2,000 higher than its previous rate. The premium for cars above 1,600cc hit $22,400, some $3,200 more.

Open COE, which can be used for any vehicle type but ends up mainly for cars, finished at $21,899, about $2,000 higher. All these rates are the highest since 2004.

Commercial vehicle COE ended at an eight-year high of $20,090, more than $1,000 higher than before. Motorcycle premium was the only exception. It finished at $852, $37 lower than its previous price.

Motor traders said fierce price cutting among major dealerships in the last two weeks had whipped up demand.

An expected reduction in COE supply from April had also fuelled bidding, as motor firms with orders in hand attempt to fulfill them before the quota cut.

*********
the COE alone can pay for my degree
but still I do not think it will deter potential motorists from buying cars

Repeat*

夢想 理想 幻想 狂想 妄想
我只想堅持每一步 該走的方向
就算一路上 偶而會沮喪
生活是自己 選擇的衣裳
幸福 我要的幸福 沒有束縛
幸福 我要的幸福 在不遠處

All about Snoopi
