Launch of 1,000 BTO flats

THE Housing Board will launch two new Build-to-Order projects offering more than 1,000 flats in Sengkang and Jurong West on Friday.

This will be followed by six more launches with 4,000 flats in Punggol, Sembawang, Bukit Panjang and Dawson estates in November and December.

This will bring the number of new BTO flats the board is launching to 5,000 in three months.

In total, the HDB will be supplying 9,000 new BTO flats this year, far more than the 2,900 balance flats sold under the current and previous sale exercises for this year, said the board in a statement on Wednesday.

'The large number of new flats offers choice and certainty to first-time flat buyers,' said the HDB.

'HDB will continue to monitor housing demand and ensure that there is sufficient flat supply for first-time flat buyers.'

this came after the reports of newlyweds or those planning to get married having NOT found a unit after applying numerous times
the minister mentioned NOT to be too fusy and said THEY rejected more than half of given choices..
up to own discretion.

Time for Celebration

For dear's sister as her birthday is approaching soon.
we treated her to Hua Ting Dim Sum at Orchard Hotel. A nice and elegant place that she chose.
Intersting food too with crab rice vermicilli, abalone glutinous rice, prawn roll, siew mai, chee chong fan, prawn dumpling..

After lunch popped over for cakes and coffee at Jones Grocer at Dempsey Road. After that the birthday gal went for a play with her friends and the rest of us went back to his place.

Dinner was steamboat at Tiong Bahru~

Thankful for the food and family companionship.
dear's sis said I lost weight.. and "accused" dear not feedin me well LOL.
though it was work that made me eat lesser. Been rushing around, I am not the one planning my own time now.. working at othes' beck and order...shucks.

SLow Progress

of doing the review questions..

Did not have much time to read during the weekdays, either busy, too tired, OTing. These two nights been sitting at my com table typing, reading, browsing webs at intervals for stress relief.

At least something different in the afternoon today, went to fetch mum from work, had lunch with her near her workplace before heading to grandpa's place. But he wasnt home so went to find aunt and my cute nieces~

she kept sticking out her tongue~ so adorable! at 6 mths lol

then came back, sat, had packed dinner and back to typing

monotony.. shucks.
even when on the phone with the bf.. nothin seem to be said between us..
both were too busy with revision or too tired.

hang in there!

AND mum booked her "birthday celebration" trip with dad lol
been years since they went out... not considering malaysia which they have been a few times with the RC aunties

and so it meant
housework and laudry for me
but then it meant
i can test my cooking skills.

Great Company Simple Fun

Friday 021009

Had steamboat with classmates at Bugis then headed over to Minds Cafe at Dobly Ghaut.
Dear came over to join us around midnight and to fetch me back after having dinner with his friend. Been some time since I've joined them for any activities.. Usually I skip all their clubbing outings.
Simple fun is good fun too :)
Had such great laughter when playin the board games.. had to make actions and funny sounds and even had forfeits lol


Sat 031009

Had Brunch at City Hall.. Soup Spoon! lol so filling.. like a 3 course meal..then i bought some small gifts. Went back home and the both of us prepared for steamboat!
Managed to squeeze my whole family and my friends at the same table.. everyone had much laughter.
And again great company, simple meal, lots of talking, had a wine toast! and they bought me a HUGE cake. Was so touched and even sharon came over when I thought she couldnt make it :)

We played poker before they made their way back.

dear and I watched dvds at home before I trimmed and bathed the fat puppy again. Dear wasnt feelin well so I made lunch for him. He took a nap before rushing off to do some stuff and back home. Had da bao dinner.. before hitting the notes and editing photos. Another week is starting.
