then went to la kopi with the guys.

Went breakfast with dear and his sis at Old AIrport Food centre.. then we went over to TAMPINES ONE for some shopping.. had the OMU rice at Manpuku Gourmet Town...the place's really good! interesting concept, even better than the one at Raffles Basement.. there were alot of japanese varieties to choose from.. we were so lemming for the fruit tart but could barely eat after the Omu Rice. We each bought a polo tee from UNIQLO too heh
MEt Sharon at night for dinner at SOUP RESTAURANT at SUNTEC before heading to SWENSONS for some cooling down and then proceeded for late night movie at Marina Square. "The taking of pelham 123" was alright.. it was 3 popcons for both of us.
We had supper at Bedok after that ... great tasting too.. lol it was around 3Am I guess but was still crowded.

Dear sent me back in the morning before going for his Father's Day lunch too with his own family. I brought my own family to Tung Luk in Jurong for our Father's day meal, again. Dad Loves it lol and kept thanking us.

Went City Plaza for shopping after that.. and finally just reached home..
One week of break= freedom!!

now... i need to recuperate... havent sleep much these few days..

Took mrt down to City Hall to meet dear for dinner after his walk through the IT show. Luckily I never go, cause dear mentioned it was so squeezy and stuffy and you cannot browse in there.. like a battlefield, must lock on target, "grab and go" type of situation.
We had dinner buffet at Sakae Sushi at FUNAN then headed back to dear's place.

Dear's sis treated us to breakfast at Oomphatico's.. at Tanglin Mall.. gosh. the deco's so pretty! and the breakfast sets are so "english" -_-
I was trying to figure out what to have for breakfast and the drinks..

After breakfast, walked around awhile before we went back, and me, back to "K" books.

We went back to my place in the late afternoon and had ASTON's at JE and also did alittle grocery shopping for his reservist camp before heading back.

Dear's having reservist camp for this week.. and I need to concentrate for 4 more days before Friday's paper... trying very hard to pull up my GPA grades .. zzz.
I cant afford to get anything Credit and below in order to fulfill my goal.

BUT one thing that made me proud of myself.. I downloaded an expenses tracking application on my ITOUCH and for the month, I spent like $250 including a pair of slippers, toiletries and snoopi's grooming.. Though the amount was not as "small" as I had envisioned, it's still an achievement from the previous months... considering I had to spend for my night classes too. At least I know exactly what I spent on, even better than the pen-and-paper method I used to do.

Shall keep it up!

NS gfs thread

sometimes.. out of curiousity, I will still read the thread on NS gfs which are about gfs talking about their NS bfs..

and it brought back so much memories..

the initial 2 weeks BMT days
the first meetup
the "no calls field camp days"
the "weekend bf"
the wait at Pasir Ris interchange throughout the BMT stage
the talk with another NS gf while on our way back from Pasir Ris
the wait at Jurong Point for his SISPEC stage
then the weekday nights for his UNIT stage whereby the bf will leave for his morning parade
the "POP" for three different stages
the two overseas trips, the sending and receiving.
the crazy timing, the army friends, the army friends' outings, the outing with his army friends' gfs

I think I spent alot of time waiting then.

Sigh of relief

I cleared all modules!!!

and surprisingly the module which I hated most, I scored the highest for it...AND considering I did not have time to finish that paper..
and luckily for my final exams.. it pulled my final grades up.
I had a module which I barely passed the project work.. but in the end, the grade was satisfactory...BUT just one mark to jump grade tsk tsk

Overall, quite pleased :)
Now, for the remaining 3 semesters.

The GSS did not attract me even abit.. Something is wrong. I haven bought anything in at least two months, beside a pair of slippers. Feels good to be able to control. Just waiting again..for the suitable time.. or item. :P

Met Dear at Jurong Point to watch TERMINATOR SALVATION!
I kinda forgot the previous episodes.. need to rewatch to link everything again.
BUT nonetheless, it was a great show.
Now eagerly awaiting TRANSFORMERS.
We had dinner at this taiwan restaurant, their set meals quite worth it too.

The three of us went to EAST COAST for a stroll.. had lunch at THE BEACH HUT with snoopi~ the al fresco dining place is greatly recommended.. the western food was good too.. quite the "american taste" lol

AND we found new friends for snoopi! we saw around 5 schnauzers there~ and we let snoopi play ball and roam around with them lol
he was so shy among the gals.. and the other owners addressed him as quite the gentleman -_-

we went back home after that and came out with dear's mum for dinner to EAST COAST LAGOON food centre with snoopi again.
He attracted quite abit of attention, again. and he was such a good boy sitting at our table "looking out" at his surroundings.

Dear woke me up around 7am to go fishing.. fished till around 10am and then we went to have breakfast..
It rained in the afternoon so we stayed home till it cleared up before we brought snoopi fishing again with his dad around 4pm till 7pm.. and I caught 4 fishes! lol the most for that day :P
Dinner was home cooked by his mum..
then later at night.. dear fetched both of us back home..

and again, I still prefer the great outdoors, great to be out enjoying the sight and cool sea breeze

Australian strike hits Singapore students

SINGAPORE: She was supposed to check her exam results on an online portal on Friday. But before the student, who is studying for her RMIT University degree through SIM could do that, an email from RMIT stopped her short.

Her results had been held up — along with those of over 2,000 students here — as some RMIT faculty were involved in a strike by the National Tertiary Education Union in Victoria, Australia. Therefore, exam results have been withheld over a dispute on pay and working conditions.

But the delay looks to be a short one, as the university and the union will likely sign a memorandum of understanding on Saturday which will lift the industrial bans in place, including the withholding of the exam results.

An RMIT spokesperson told TODAY that it will be "business as usual" when the agreement is signed — the university will resume the release of results immediately. About five of the university’s modules — mainly in business — were affected.

RMIT students in Australia are not affected, as they have yet to sit for their exams, while graduating students whose results are withheld would also not have been affected as they can apply to the union for exemptions.

An SIM spokesperson said about one—third of the 6,000 students who took RMIT exams in April and May were affected, and RMIT had informed the university that it had been working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. This is the first time in SIM’s 22—year partnership with RMIT where a strike has affected students here.

The 20—year—old business management student received her results for three of the four exams she took. "I was surprised, but I think everything is fine because it sounded like someone is handling it. We were told that our re—enrolment next semester would not be affected," she said.

Other RMIT partners in Singapore told TODAY their students have not been affected by the strike. The Singapore Institute of Commerce — which offers RMIT programmes in engineering — was informed of the situation but were told it would not affect them, said its spokesman.

The strike was also supported by other universities in the state, like Monash and Deakin, but institutions offering their programmes here said they were not aware of it and had not been informed of any impact on students here.

Baby's drowning an accident

BABY boy drowned in a pail of water at home while his mother was asleep and his father was out looking for a job.
Adrian Ong Jun Wei, who was five days short of his first birthday, was found with his head submerged in a pail of water in the toilet by his father, Mr William Ong Hui Shang, 27, at his one-room flat in Block 4 Beach Road on May 7 last year.

The child's mother, Ms Tan Siew Kim, 20, had gone clubbing with her friends the night before and returned at around 6am that day.

Her mother, Madam Ong Hong Lian, 54, left for work that morning. She usually returned home past 4pm but had gone out to buy something for the child's birthday.

Ms Tan was was still asleep at around 5pm when her boyfriend, Mr Ong, returned home.

When he could not find Adrian next to her, he called out his name and found his body submerged in a pink plastic pail in the toilet.

His head and upper part of his body were in the pail of water.

Mr Ong immediately carried Adrian out but he was pale and motionless.

He woke up his girlfriend and both took a cab to Raffles Hospital nearby where the baby was pronounced dead at about 6.30pm.

At a coroner's inquiry into his death on Tuesday, State Coroner Victor Yeo recorded a verdict of misadventure.

The couple, who have known each other since she was 13 or 14, have since separated after the incident.
