By me.. or at least what I have used and so far works fine :)

I am in love with BEAUTY DAIRY masks. These masks are raved in Taiwan now and it comes with various flavours and for different functions.

The masks comes with a plastic sheet and are soft and full of essence which is easily absorbed into my face and after removing it, doesnt leave a sticky feeling and leaves a soft afterglow ..
Shall review on the different flavours I have soon and lucky for me, I bought a Combi-pack which contains 6 different types from Taiwan :P



Highly recommended by online forums are the White Rose, Red Wine and Cooling masks, Do try if you come across it.
Oh and it's around SGD$1.60 here. Cheap and good.

Another hydrating mask I highly raved about is Neutrogena Deep Hydrating Mask, and it's around $1.95/pc during sales, no outbreaks, no bumps and replenished skin after a good masking session especially good when I work in air-conditioned environment all the time.

Deep cleansing Mask that i use are Chocolate Mask(good for removing blackheads and fine facial hairs), Kose Seikisho Mask White(good for purging dirts)and St Ives BLue Clay Firming Mask(firming and purging effect)

all these are mild and suitable for combi skin





Now i am looking out for a good sunscreen and toner. I have been using Olay's UV whitening lotion(with SPF) as my sunscreen and the whitening effect is obvious(at least for me).

And , masking twice a week is good enough for me. Not good to overload your face with nutrients.

Maybe when I feel adventurous I shall try more ..

Steamboat and Fishing

Met dear on Sat in Taka but ALAS! heavy downpour at my area then drizzling at orchard. But nonetheless, it did not dampen our mood cause after meeting up, we decided to have steamboat!
COCA Restaurant is a no frills yet healthy steamboat (and quiet) place to have your meal.. it feels so warm after that despite the rain outside, can try again.

After lunch, we rushed back to dear's place to prepare for our mini fishing getaway at East coast. We waited till the rain stopped then dear prepared the fishing setup and then we cycled to one of the jetty. Though i aint familiar with the different equipment or jargons of fishing, i did not forget how to cast and handle a fishing rod after almost a year LOL

Despite us not having any catch, the day was fun, we met new people and a family having a mini gathering at the jetty.

Today was spent resting at home then went to buy Snoopi's food, Tick control and toothpaste.. hmm spent $123 on him le.. mustnt spent too much during this GSS ><

what am i still doing?
dear advises me not to switch job while i am studying lest i get distracted while i try to get used to the new environment or be burdened by new jobscopes etc
BUT.. like this i will have no relevant work experience after i graduate.. maybe when i settled comfortably into work-study life first then decide again ..

anyway gotta enjoy one more month of "FREEDOM" before i officially start school at the end of jun.

to make a Travel Scrapbook

and whenever i say i want to make stuff for the bf, he will say he has no place to display already -_- dunno whether its a good thing or not lol

before i start school, i better accomplish this "craving" of mine.

i've done cross-stitch and chinese embriodery, maybe time to change to something new?
Knitting perhaps? can anyone teach me?

i also thought of drawing my own pictures and doing chinese embriodery for pillow cases and shirts lol -_- maybe when i have more motivation

Compromising and compatiblilty

I came across a fren's blog whereby she mentioned that she intend to stay on after her overseas studies to gain some work experience before coming back to work and get married etc.
From what I remembered, her bf's been eager to get married.. and has been waiting for her thru her undergrad years..

I really admire his patience and he agreed to wait another 3 years for her to be back and i also admire their faith to do long distance relationship for so long.

Makes me wonder...

Will YOU wait for someone?

How LONG will you wait for the other half to fulfill his/her "personal interests" even if it meant delaying the "combined aim" that you two have made?

Will you "fulfill combined aim" or "fulfill personal interest" first?

I had a meetup with a friend on mon, talking about her ex bf and reason for breakup was "they aint compatible"

from what i see..

my friend works hard, earns and spends her own. she gets stressed out but she managed to overcome it and even plans to upgrade..
and what does the guy do? nitec, citin "no time to upgrade qualifications", not even 20 bucks on hand. and not even willing to communicate ..

and its never your fault my dear,

he is definitely not your type, and he is right, in another word, you two are incompatible.
Will you want to live with a guy who just want to take things easy? "earn barely enough" type and always want to slack and relax?

Friday was spent packing my stuff, going to the bank and going to school to pay school fees and Sat was spent dating with dear lol
oh and i wore my new skirt :P

On sat, to avoid disappointment, I booked the tickets for the INDIANNA JONES movie for fear of not having seats and luckily i booked the show cause even when i logged in online 3 hrs earlier, it was half filled already.
Then we walked around MS after movie and dear treated me to late lunch at Waraku :)

Back froM Taiwan

I am BACK!
and TAIWAN IS GREAT!

touched down in spore last evening.. with LOTS of memorable memories..
we went with 20kg of luggage combined and came back with 47kg of luggage including a carton of foodstuff I got for my family and a few kgs heavier and thousands of photos..yes thousands. hahahahha
last count, I had a few boxes of cosmetics, 15 sets of clothes while dear had almost 10 lol cause its really cheap there~ like 100-300NT per shirt and best deal i got was 15 pairs of socks for 100NT like 5SGD? LOL
and I got so used to see dear everyday that i am missing him badly now..

the trip was definitely WORTH IT. though the package per pax was more expensive than other agencies, we calculated the hotels and the trips and also the attractions and realised its not bad a deal afterall..
we travelled AROUND TAIWAN from taipei to taoyuan to taizhong to tainan to kaohsiung to hualien back to taipei .. and visited most of the famed attractions.. not just a shopping trip only but a scenic and educational one too
and we had night markets, hot springs, themed resorts, themed restaurants and even hot spring resort where you have your own hot spring bath in the comfort of your own room~
and the trip was not rushed at all instead i call it fully utilising the time, we are out of the hotel by 8-9 and back at 8-9 everyday, we changed hotels everyday too but we managed to see alot of places so no one was complaining about the lack of sleep. dear and i even walked about ourselves at night after everyone checked in and stayed in.. we went around the neighbourhood and had lots of roadside food too.

and everyone tot we are on honeymoon :P
dear calls it the "pre-honeymoon trip"
i love you lots na..
and the trip just brought us even closer.
and we are planning for another trip next year hee
i must save hard to fulfil it!

and I got into SCHOOL!!
will be handing in my confirmation reply and paying the fees and having orientation in jun and startin sch in july.

life will get more hectic from mid year onwards but i will persevere!

dear came over yesterday with ingredients for lunch hee
he cooked soup too and also stayed to make spagetti for dinner
as i still wasnt feeling well he stayed with me to look after me again.. the poor bf had to look after me for the second night already.. and my fever peaked in the middle of the night and he had to put cold compress again

i know even if there's nothin to eat in the house, he wont just cook maggie noodles, like when i was over at his place, he will still try to cook simple dishes.. hee
i think i found quite a rare gem who can cook *winks* must praise the bf for his efforts

went to see the doc for the second time, took blood test, changed my anitibiotics and hope i'm all ready to go on thursday..
so excited!!
dear too is excited too! first overseas trip by plane lol

by hook or by crook, i will enjoy my trip.

fever REFUSED to go down argh.. hovering 38 through the night and i was/am coughing my lungs out already .. tsk tsk

Bf's Birthday cupcakes

and so with me falling sick, the bf's birthday celebrations had to be cancelled and poor him had to collect his present that i ordered for him.

i feel so guilty lar.. argh
anyway this is what i got for him



and my temperature fluctuates like no one's business
from 40-39-38-36-37-38 at night then back to 37 this morning..

dear came over on friday to check on me and stayed with me through the night, putting cold compress on my forehead when my temp refused to drop, he made me drink iced water too brr..i hate that

for the whole of sat, my head was feeling very heavy, drowsy and irritated due to the coughing and my sore throat. i think coughin hurts/intensify the pain caused my the sorethroat.. argh!!

and now dear went back to meet his family and tml they're celebrating mother's day.. hmm my own parents goin batam for a day trip.. so it US to fend for ourselves..

btw all three of us are sick -_- from the youngest to middle to me.

i am seriously hopin i will recover by thursday.. i haven pack anythin too .. and i am working till wed when i am taking thu early morning flight tsk tsk
no choice ah ..

Longest fever ever

Officially sick with no warning no symtoms before it was full blown..

was fine in the morning then halfway through work demo can feel sorethroat and flu starting .. then started to shiver..not good..

then evening was full blown and whole body was aching then when i finally dragged myself to see the doc.. its was 40 degs.. tsk tsk
so now had to monitor my temp and if it doesnt subside have to see doc again..

kinda feel bad that i have to cancel all my work schedules.. have to make sure i'm well by mon..

I opened my mailbox to see UNISIM letter and it states that i need to reply with $500 deposit plus return of confirmation slip to UNISIM by 7th MAY

letter dated 30th april
and i just received it today 6th MAY!

what kind of customer service is this! I will complain tomorrow.

i wonder if i have taken the longer route again .. as with my academics..

whatever it is, i will still do my best to walk it all the way.. till i cant see the road ahead anymore.

on another note, the bf threatens to do something cause he deems i am getting too thin...
hmmm.. my scale reads 48 now..and i'm 164 lol

The bf is having holidays and having fun with his schoolmates while i have to rush all my work plus cramped schedules before the trip ..
SO UNFAIR !!

working life and studying life have its own ups and downs.. i seriously do not know whether i can handle the ups and downs of BOTH when i juggle BOTH together.
but others have done it, i will make it through too.

can I just do ONE at a time?
oh well ..just want to lament.. lol i cant live without my paycheck.

But i am proud of our ourselves that we managed to save for the trip in such a short time..

and the bf has other plans for his birthday already.. luckily he told me earlier if not i would have gone ahead with preparations i thought of for his day... kinda disappointed that i couldnt fulfil my plans but anyway its HIS birthday, just following what he prefers..

but nevermind .. i have backup plans

Family Lunch and Dear

Morning woke at 7+ to have a walk at the park with parents and Snoopi~ mum went for her Pilates class so dad and I brought Snoopi to find Mum at 9am lol
He loves walking and exploring and being the ever curious him even wanted to catch pigeons lol but obviously they are way more alert then him.

We had Teppanyaki lunch at home woh~ then everyone sat at the table having fun cooking the DIY way while Snoopi napped away

After lunch met dear to go pay the balance for our trip. Last check, its only 2 weeks away lol then walked around to find stuff for his fishtank. These few weekends will be maintenance for his tank with him.
