Time of the year again
To review and recap the happenings and resolutions
of events that left impressions on me
of resolutions that I have achieved
of resolutions for the next year
Events that left a deep impression
-Snoopi's arrival and first birthday
-Trip to Taiwan
-longest fever ever
-Started school
-Exams jitters
-Colleagues' weddings
-SY's ROM
-Birthday at Ritz Carlton + Itouch
-5th Yr anniversary
-First prawning trip
-Fishing trips/pond fishing
-Dad's 50th birthday
-Christmas Potluck
-New year's Eve
and alot more others.. too many events and enjoyable weekends :)
and lots of food too hahahha
those that are "not so pleasant"
-from last dec till this feb, i wish its the end of that episode
Resolutions for THIS year
(that I had set from last yr)
-
(Currently a Business undergrad and its the recession and the best time to upgrade)
-
(after my wisdom teeth extraction, my weight has been hovering from 48-50 lol)
-
(which i think i can improve on for yr2009, in comparison with the year 2006, its way much better)
-be less arrogant
(still trying very hard not to sound like one, unless you think I sound like one if not I wont know whether I sound like one)
-
(I got spooked by lehman's collapse, just the normal savings plan will do for now)
Resolutions for NEXT Year
-Better handle work and school
-Desirable grades
-Better relationship with the bf and family
-Better relationship with colleagues, friends and those long lost.
-Save more (another savings plan perhaps)
-be less arrogant
-be a better mummy to Snoopi
-plan my next career move perhaps?
And I know, some things cannot be rushed and I am glad for some friends who do not ask the dreaded question.
Now I just want to ride out the recession and hopefully graduate and move on to a better job and paycheck hahahaha
And hopefully have a "smooth" time at work.

Walk in the park and Kelvin's birthday
271208
Woke at 8am by dear and met him together with mum at 9am to bring Snoopi for a walk in the park. Dear actually made the effort to take mrt down to meet me so early in the morning hee.
I am so proud of my boy too cause he can walk properly in his shoes already lol
Best of all, no need to worry about having his feet dirtied or cut by sharp objects.
Went back home and bathed Snoopi with dear after that we groomed him. No more messy dog .. like finally can see his eyes.
Evening time, dear went home before driving me to my meeting place for dinner and he went back after that to have dinner with his family.
A classmate of mine was celebrating his birthday and we had dinner at a Korean restaurant, TOGI at Mosque street. It's interesting and there's free flow of appetitisers.. the pork belly was kinda tough but the chicken and the kimchi soup were really good.
After dinner, we strolled through Chinatown and had a little dessert before proceeding to HELIPAD at CENTRAL.
Cool place with nice ambience, open air viewing too! and the crowd's looking good.
Finally ended the day with supper at Rochor Beancurd.
Dear came down to have supper with us and to pick sis and myself up and sent us back after that before going back home again.
messy baby in his shoes

after groom, snoozing away

Woke up at 8am again ... due to honking of the entourage of bridal procession at my block ..
Now where's the recession -_- ppl are still getting married but nonetheless it was a joyous occassion so shall leave them be.
Met dear at Orchard and had lunch at Food Republic at Wisma.. the fried fish beehoon is one of my favourites there with fried egg and milky soup stock.
Then it was shopping time!
Accompanied dear to TOPMAN and he bought jeans there. I finally bought my Shu Umera cleanser much to the dismay of dear.. and also new earphones for my Itouch. I bought new jeans too... though I really love the diamond studded ones from GUESS sigh.. We walked from Wisma to Takashimaya to Paragon to Heeren before deciding our legs couldnt take much longer and headed back to dear's place for a rest.
Dinner was at OLD AIRPORT ROAD.
And Dear sent me back home later at night.
Dear's going fishing today lol. I shall do some maintenace.. need to look good for the last day of the year :P.
wedding entourage in the morning..

I love the black and gold combi of the earphones

Dear's mum gave me a crabtree and evelyn set, his sis gave me a book.

2008 Christmas
came to an end.
On the eve, I went to pick up the Ham from Bugis before taking a cab down to pick Sharon from Tampines and back to her place. From then on, its pictures time~
It was celebrated with good friends whom I havent seen in a long time..
Had Potluck and drinks over card games at Sharon's place through the night and on Christmas Day, went back home to have dinner with family.
And I concluded my "gift giving" lol
It was "hard on pocket" but "big with my blessings and happiness" for the people who received it.
I made little gifts for all who attended the Potluck too~
And I gave dear his surprise christmas presents.. which really surprised him :P
A new coin pouch from Pierre Cardin, berms and an organizer which he said he liked.
DInner with family at Dian Xiao Er

last minute
Christmas shopping after work and before that had a christmas lunch with the gals.. sometimes it feels kinda "quieter" .. kinda disheartening BUT its still good to have the gals around.. though I was terribly tired.. woke up too early due to Snoopi's barking..
Christmas
Time to say THANKS for
:my family
:the bf
:snoopi
:friends
:job
:studies..
I think I need to give myself a pat on the back, I feel I accomplished quite a number of things this year..
From going back to studies to achieving my grades to saving my target amount of savings to losing weight hahahah
and also removing a thorn in the flesh.
I had a little conversation with Sharon and she disagreed with me on some issues ALOT.
like how "honeymoon period has the best memories"
to me it's like saying "Commitment is the end of romance"
why cant people have both commitment plans and romantic plans together?
you cant always "play and play" without a hoot for the future.. right?
She mentioned why some people do not dare to think for the future for fear of ruining the joy they have in their current state
Is it really that scary to commit?
Day dreaming is simple, you can dream about your "knight in shiny armor" and how you want a "princess wedding" to "fairytale ending"
But its just .. fairytales.
And we are living in the Real World.

Christmas Shopping accomplished!
First time ever, I prepared almost 20 christmas gifts but it was so fun sourcing and wrapping lol.
Fri 191208
Dear met me at Jurong Point and we went Christmas shopping. The day before, I went with colleague and gotten presents for Mum and Dear's Mum.
Dear and I were awestruck by the sheer "massiveness" of Jurong point, especially when I have seen Jurong point developed from a mere single building to this great complex now lol.
Dear treated me to Dian Xiao Er. Cause I said I wasnt eating much in school then he said he will "replenish for me" -_-
But that is still so sweet of him.
"xiao er tou fu"
"ginseng duck" SOLID
"kai lan with salted fish and lime"
this is very interesting, salty and sour at the same time, refreshing

Dear and I took bus to Marina Square for the show "YESMAN" .
We had brunch at Marina Square foodcourt before the show and ordered curry noodles which I feel is one of the specialities there.
"YESMAN" is really a nice comedy but underlying those laughters are more "motivating factors" to experiencing life.
Like when you say "NO" to questions or opportunities, you are not experiencing life etc.. which is so true.. though you dont have to say "YES" to everything, open your heart to more of what life can offer to you. How can anyone live like the "old Carls"? Just TV and video store only..
I took this from CNA and I feel that his words are encouraging:
(Carrey said he hoped the film would encourage people to "engage in life". "If there is a message, it's just engage in life," he said. "You know, say 'Yes' more than you do 'No', maybe a little bit more than you did before, and life kind of turns out all right. Usually you regret the things you say no to."
It's a philosophy Carrey has tried to follow in his own life. Asked if he considered himself a "Yes Man," he replied: "I would say yes, even when I say no because sometimes saying no is saying yes to your own self worth.)
I feel so thankful for having dear who shares the same view as me.. "engaging life" hahah cheesy maybe but its true..
BUT I had one of the worst movie experience ever, marred by two couples beside us.
On one side was busy making out, the other was going hysterical shouting "oh shit" too frequently with a volume loud enough for the whole cinema to hear.
Nonetheless.. still had a good time watching.
After that, I bought more nail stickers lol then we went Carrefour for some grocery shopping and dear's mum picked us up for dinner at Kallang Leisurepark.
We had Japanese "marche style" :) then it was back to dear's place.
outside carrefour
korean strawberries! sweet
Suntec decorations, lots of christmas trees lol
99cents sushi, we had a few plates of sushi, salmon don, teriyaki ramen, saba fish and chawanmushi..
MS curry noodles

Morning dear woke me up at 8am -_- and we prepared to have breakfast with his family at Old Airport food centre. We had the Whitley Road Prawn Mee again. Seems like dear's family members love prawns hahaha
Then dear dropped off his sis at Bugis and the rest of us had a little excursion at Pasir Ris farmway looking at fishes, pets and I bought more pet food for Snoopi. Dear said he will bring me and snoopi to the Pet Mover's Dog Run next time. It was so cool! with so many other dogs and obstacle course and even a wading pool for pets.
After that Dear drove us to Pasis Ris' ELias Park to chill out by the sea and then it was to Yishun to look at his fishing gear.
Had Botak Jones at Yishun and I tried their MINI BOTAK BURGER which aint really mini considering it's like your usual "FIllet o fish" size. I dont dare to think how the "Normal" burger looks like.. another must try of BOTAK JONES, their JALEPENOS~
with cheese inside.
Dear dropped his family back home then fetched me back home to pick up my Mum and sis and we went Jurong Point again.
We all did alittle shopping again and I gotten more Christmas presents.
Then it was back home and Mum had prepared a 5 course dinner and not forgetting "tang yuan".
A tiring weekend but like the Macdonald commercial
"I am loving it"
At Elias Park..
this is almost more than a metre in length..
MINI botak burger, meat patty is juicy, not too dry, real minced meat with no fats/tendons etc and not too burnt
jalenpenos~ with cheese as fillings
box with various compartments for my swarovski crystals and other blings for nails
***********
And I am so looking forward to Christmas Eve PotLuck! And I told Sharon I am gonna decorate her house LOL.
Dear's cooking for his share of Potluck heh.
And I will be bringing wine too~
I am still thinking of what to wear and Dear said he likes to see me in jeans hmm.. I wonder why lol
